Wow. It's been months and months since I've written. Almost a year!
Several reasons, I suppose....meh, probably it was mostly just laziness :)
Anyway, still working away at the new job, although not too enamoured of it these days.
Stay tuned...if I don't write within the next week consider this a final entry...if I can get back into the momentum of writing, however, who knows where we'll end up.

Back pain and random gods
Bleh. I'm actually kinda nauseous from my back aching so much. Yuck. The massage I had yesterday certainly helped loosen up some stuff, but left me feeling a bit like I'd been beaten with a stick. Went to pilates last night, and taught yoga this morning. It seems that as long as I'm moving, it's not too bad. As soon as I sit - holy eyeballs of Ganesh*, it hurts!
Snagged myself one of those kneeling ergonomic chair things that a colleague had lying around, which does definitely feel better than the traditional chair...
So tonight it will be an easy evening for me. Maybe a movie and peppermint tea to soothe my tummy. Dave is going out to play poker with some of his work buddies, so it'll be me and the kittehs.
Luckily, I have an appointment with the chiropractor tomorrow morning, so hopefully this final treatment will put me on the path to lumbar/thoracic/cervical health. That, along with lots of pilates (which is, I assert once more, better than any physiotherapy session) and yoga, and I should be right as rain soon enough.
So that's it for now. Just counting the minutes until I can go home and try to find a comfortable position to lie in for the evening. Although I probably will do more yoga, cause ya know...it's da bomb. Have a great weekend, everyone - you may even hear from me before Monday, as I'm feeling blog-inclined these days :)
* Just decided I try throwing around some other random diety's name in vain for a change...

Hello Stranger!
Yup - I really didn't fall of the face of the planet!
Rather, I've been shittin' busy, as mentioned earlier. I had my first sampling season run, which went relatively smoothly...although driving in the effin' truck for three days straight really did a number on my back. Boo.
Actually, I'm about to head off to a massage therapy appointment, which hopefully will put me back into working order. The truck just does not fit me - it's made for freakisly large people (or possibly just average sized men).
So, I have to go and buy an opus forme back thingy for the truck - work should cover it considering it's an occupational health issue. Hmm...maybe I can convince them to buy a whole new vehicle! Ha!
Anyhoo, I'm off to my appointment. Just wanted to throw my loyal readers a bone, and assure them that now that I'm a bit more settled in the job, I'll very likely be back to semi-regular posting :)

Onward and Upward....*pant*
Yikes.
Busy week what with the official switch to the new position. And I actually did something related to my new job on Friday...finally! So busy trying to clue things up and get ready for the two training things I have over the next two weeks that it's been a real whirlwind. I also moved to my new desk at work, which is pretty nice, actually. I sacrificed my partial window view for more space and a better chair so it all works out.
Unfortunately, I don't have the energy or inclination to complete that long rant about the Jesus Camp documentary, and barely enough to do this entry. Being flat out at work makes me disinclined to spend time on the computer at home. So, over the next few weeks, posting will likely be brief and sporadic...but once things settle down I'll make an effort to compensate :)

Jesus Camp
Holy Shit.
Watched "Jesus Camp" last night - a documentary about kids in the extreme right evangelical christian community in the States.
It warrants a big long blog post...stay tuned.
In the meantime go and rent it and watch it - prepare to be truly horrified.
